Seton Hall 84, St. John's 79
It was another classic rivalry game between the Pirates and Red Storm Wednesday night at Walsh Gym as Seton Hall rallied from a 13-point deficit to defeat St. John’s and split the season series. Lauren Park-Lane led the rally effort for The Hall (8-7, 3-4 BIG EAST), scoring a game-high 31 points to go with eight assists and three rebounds. She became the first player in Seton Hall history to score at least 30 points in back-to-back games after dropping 30 at Providence on Sunday. The game featured nine ties and 10 lead changes. St. John’s (5-11, 1-5) led by two with under a minute to go before Park-Lane drove to the hoop, made the bucket and got fouled to give Seton Hall the advantage which it held onto the rest of the way. Andra Espinoza-Hunter added 25 points for the Pirates. St. John’s saw four finish in double figures, including a team-best 19 points for Leilani Correa and 18 points for Unique Drake.
