RV/- DePaul 103, Butler 69  

Aneesah Morrow led the way with a career-high 33 points, 15 rebounds, five steals and four blocks as the Blue Demons scored a road win Friday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse. It was the freshman phenom's 11th consecutive double-double and 14th overall to lead the nation. After falling behind 5-0 early, DePaul closed the first quarter on a 25-6 run to move ahead by double digits, where it remained the rest of the way. Five Blue Demons scored in double figures, including Sonya Morris with 18 points. A trio of Bulldogs scored in double figures, with Emilia Sexton posting a career-best 19 points.

9/12 UConn 71, Seton Hall 38  
Olivia Nelson-Ododa had 17 points, 14 rebounds and five assists as the ninth-ranked Huskies defeated Seton Hall at Gampel Pavilion Friday night. The Huskies (10-4, 5-0 BIG EAST), who lost at Oregon on Monday night, have not dropped consecutive games since March of 1993. UConn shot .412 from the field while holding the Pirates to a .264 clip, and the Huskies won the rebounding battle 53-25, scoring 21 second-chance points. Sidney Cooks led Seton Hall with 10 points, while Evina Westbrook added 13 for UConn.

Creighton 80, Georgetown 70  
Behind a combined 41 points from sophomores Lauren Jensen and Emma Ronsiek, Creighton outlasted the Georgetown Hoyas 80-70 on Friday at McDonough Arena. The Bluejays did not trail in a game and led by as many as 21 before the Hoyas closed the gap within nine in the final moments of the game. Jensen scored 22 and Ronsiek added 19 as the Bluejays shot .517 from the field and drained 11 three-pointers. Kelsey Ransom’s 18 points led four Hoyas in double figures, which included 14 points from Gracenn Bennett. Georgetown shot .491 from the field and .462 from three.

Villanova 71, Providence 56  
The Wildcats led wire-to-wire to score their seventh win in their last eight games Friday night at Finneran Pavilion. Maddy Siegrist’s hot streak continued, posting a game-high 25 points to go along with 10 rebounds for her third double-double in her last four games. Freshman Kylee Sheppard paced the Friars with 11 points off 5-of-11 shooting, while Villanova’s Brianna Herlihy corralled a game-high 11 boards to go along with nine points.

Marquette 65, Xavier 46  
The Golden Eagles got off to a hot start and never looked back, opening the game on a 16-4 run, while knocking down each of their first four 3-point attempts. Xavier fought back with a 14-10 second-quarter to cut the MU lead to 10 at the half. Marquette won the fourth quarter 17-9 including an 8-0 run to close out the game to earn its first road win of BIG EAST play. While playing in her home state of Ohio, graduate forward Lauren Van Kleunen led all scorers with 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Kae Satterfield led the Musketeers with 14 points off 7-of-12 shooting, while grabbing a team-high eight rebounds.

Up next for BIG EAST women’s basketball is a five-game Sunday, beginning with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. ET. The BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi available on FloSports will feature two of the hottest teams in the conference tangling at 1 p.m., when Creighton travels to Villanova. Also at 1 p.m., St. John’s eyes the upset when it hosts No. 9/12 UConn in a game airing on SNY. A trio of 2 p.m. games follow, including a nationally televised tilt between RV/- DePaul and Xavier, which will air on CBS Sports Network. On BEDN at 2 p.m. – Providence travels to Georgetown and Marquette visits Butler.
