#BIGEASTwbb Minute: Creighton Remains Perfect While Siegrist Does It Again For Villanova

Villanova 70, St. John’s 68
Maddy Siegrist scored what proved to be the game-winning and-one with four seconds left to lead Villanova (8-5, 2-2 BIG EAST) to its fifth straight win Sunday afternoon at Finneran Pavilion. Siegrist finished with game highs of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while Leilani Correa led St. John’s with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Correa put the Red Storm (5-8, 1-2) ahead by one with 1:22 to play. After neither team converted on their next possessions, Villanova had the opportunity with less than 20 seconds to go, missing its first two attempts but getting key offensive rebounds to maintain possession. Siegrist collected the rebound off a Lior Garzon miss and put it back up, making the shot while getting fouled, and then converting the free-throw. The Wildcats are 5-0 since Siegrist returned from injury with the junior averaging 27.8 points, 10.2 rebounds during that stretch.
