BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Caylee Parker, UConn, Sr., OH
Parker powered the Huskies to a two-sweep week. Against Providence, Parker recorded a match-best 15 kills while contributing three service aces and 10 digs. In Friday’s showdown against Butler, the outside hitter once again recorded the most kills of the match (16), dished out four assists, and added a block. This week, Parker led the BIG EAST in both kills (31, 5.17/set) and points (34.5, 5.75/set).
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Lucia Corsaro, Xavier, So., DS
Corsaro’s defensive prowess contributed to a 2-0 Xavier weekend, highlighted by road victories over Georgetown (3-2) and Villanova (3-1). Against Georgetown, the defensive specialist recorded a match-best 22 digs while boasting a perfect 1.000 receiving percentage. On the week, Corsaro totaled 36 digs, four aces, and 11 assists.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Hattie Bray, Marquette, RS-Fr., MB
In a 2-0 week, Bray led all BIG EAST competitors, hitting .632 with no errors. She produced identical stat lines in sweeps of both Seton Hall and St. John’s with three blocks and six kills. On the week, Bray totaled 4 digs and was the only BIG EAST freshman to register a solo block.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Norah Sis, Creighton, So., OH
Sis totaled 28 kills, averaging 4.67 kills per set in a pair of road victories. Against, Villanova, Sis registered 15 digs and two blocks. Against Georgetown, the sophomore hit a season-high .433 with 16 kills, three digs, and two blocks. On the week, she ranked second in the conference in both kills (4.67) and points (5.08).
Jasmine Davis, UConn, Sr., OH
While contributing to a 2-0 week, Davis led the BIG EAST with six service aces (1.00/set). She totaled 20 kills and two blocks while ranking third in the BIG EAST for digs (25, 4.17).
Carsen Murray, Marquette, Jr., MB
In a 2-0 week, Murray produced a BIG EAST-best 11 blocks with eight kills and two digs. Murray’s career-high nine blocks against St. John’s contributed to a Marquette season-best performance (13).
Carrigan O’Reilly, Xavier, Sr., S/RS 9
O’Reilly recorded her 27
th career double-double (58 assists, 17 digs) in an essential 3-2 victory over Georgetown. Over the 2-0 week, the senior setter totaled 95 assists, good for third in the BIG EAST, 16 kills, 24 digs and 5 blocks.
Jill Pressly, DePaul, Jr. OH
Against Seton Hall, Pressly registered 18 kills, 11 digs, and a block wile owning a .452 attack percentage. In a 1-1 week, Pressly ranked amongst the conference’s top ten in multiple categories including kills (5
