MBB Minute – The college basketball season opens Monday night with eight BIG EAST teams in action. For the second straight year, FOX Sports will provide exclusive whip-around coverage, showing live look-ins of all eight BIG EAST contests with limited commercials during the BIG EAST Opening Night Tip-Off on FS1. All eight games will be available in their entirety on the FOX Sports App and FOXSports.com

The tip times have been staggered to help spread out the look-in coverage of the games. At 6:30 p.m. ET, Villanova, ranked 16^th in the preseason Associated Press poll, and new head coach Kyle Neptune host local rival La Salle at Finneran Pavilion. while Butler and returning head coach Thad Matta meet New Orleans at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

At 6:45 p.m., St. John’s starts its season against Merrimack at Carnesecca Arena.

Two games tip at 7:30 p.m. Connecticut meets Stonehill at XL Center and Xavier, with returning head coach Sean Miller, hosts Morgan State at Cintas Center.

At 7:45 p.m., DePaul plays Loyola, Md., at Wintrust Arena.

The final two contests begin at 8:30 p.m. Preseason BIG EAST favorite Creighton, ranked ninth in the AP preseason poll, plays St. Thomas, Minn., at the CHI Health Center and Marquette takes on Radford at Fiserv Forum.
