#BIGEASTwbb Minute: Unbeaten Friday Sees RV Seton Hall, Georgetown and Xavier Score Wins

RV/- Seton Hall 78, Rider 40

Seton Hall forced 30 turnovers and held Rider to just 11 first-half points in a 78-40 victory at Walsh Gym on Friday for its fifth straight victory. With the score tied at two, The Hall (7-3, 2-0 BIG EAST) went on a 23-3 run to close out the first quarter and never looked back. Sha'Lynn Hagans led four Pirates who reached double-figures in scoring with 16 points. Seton Hall forced 30 turnovers for the first time it has forced at least 30 in a game since Iona committed 31 on Dec. 8, 2019. All 12 Pirates who entered the game scored at least two points.

Xavier 48, Cincinnati 35
Xavier picked up a 48-35 win over Cincinnati on Friday night in the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout. Tied at 9-9 with 1:47 left in the first quarter, the Musketeers closed the frame on a 4-0 run capped by a Kaysia Woods layup. The Musketeers (7-3, 0-3 BIG EAST) never relinquished the lead and led by as many as 20 (45-25). The 35 points are the fewest allowed by a Xavier team since Nov. 17, 2018 against Fairfield (W, 48-35). Courtney Prenger led the Musketeers with 15 points on 5-for-7 shooting, her ninth career game in double figures and her fifth of the season. She added eight rebounds, three blocks and one steal.

Georgetown 74, Fairleigh Dickinson 60
Georgetown (6-3, 1-1 BIG EAST) shot a season-high 50-percent from the field, including a .576 mark over the opening 20 minutes, to score a 14-point road win at Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday night. Kelsey Ransom led four Hoyas in double figures with 15 points off 6-of-12 shooting, while Kristina Moore chipped in 12 points and a game-high six assists. Georgetown committed a season-low nine turnovers while forcing 17 FDU miscues. Fairleigh Dickinson entered the game with a top-100 NET.
