Siegrist Ties #BIGEASTwbb Record With 12th Career Weekly Honor

Maddy Siegrist, Villanova, Sr., F
Siegrist ties the BIG EAST record for Player of the Week honors with the 12th of her career following a 31-point, 11-rebound performance in a win over La Salle on Wednesay. Villanova clinched the Big Five title with the win. Siegrist reached the 30-point mark for the BIG EAST-leading fifth time this season while collecting her sixth double-double of the year – second most in the conference. Siegrist joins UConn’s Rebecca Lobo (1992-95) and Louisville’s Angel McCoughtry (2006-09) as the other 12-time BIG EAST Player of the Week honorees. She is the nation’s No. 2 scorer this season at 28.0 points per game.

Kennedy Fauntleroy, Georgetown, Fr., G
Fauntleroy earns the honor for the third time in the last four weeks after tallying 13 points off 4-of-8 shooting, including a 3-for-3 mark from deep, along with four rebounds and two assists in Wednesday’s win over North Texas. Fauntleroy is the BIG EAST’s top scoring freshman at 11.7 points per game and also ranks fourth among all BIG EAST players this season with her 2.3 steals per game average.

Kelsey Ransom, Georgetown, Jr., G – program record-tying 10 steals along with 20 points in a win over North Texas
Kylee Sheppard, Providence, So., G – first career double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in a road win at Sacred Heart on Tuesday
Jayla Everett, St. John’s, R-Sr., G – game-high 24 points including three three-pointers in win over Wagner to keep St. john’s undefeated (12-0) on the year
