Seton Hall broke a program record and matched the BIG EAST standard with 19 made three-pointers on Wednesday night against the visiting Hoyas. The Hall’s Andra Espinoza-Hunter tied her season high with a game-best 25 points on the strength of 7-for-9 shooting from three-point range. After an early back-and-forth, the Pirates (9-10, 4-7 BIG EAST) scored 30 points in the second quarter to open up a double-digit advantage. Seton Hall finished 19-of-31 from three, matching the BIG EAST single-game standard set by DePaul on Dec. 28, 2017, conveniently enough against the Pirates. Lauren Park-Lane added a double-double of 20 points and 10 assists. Georgetown (7-11, 2-8) was led by Mary Clougherty’s 11 points off 5-of-10 shooting.

The Bluejays put the 10
th-ranked Huskies on upset alert, jumping out to a 12-point lead Wednesday night in Omaha before UConn closed the first half on a 10-0 run to close within two, 32-30, at the break. The Huskies (14-4, 9-0) scored the first six points of the second half and led from that point forward, holding Creighton (15-6, 10-3) to just eight third-quarter points to pull away. It was a tale of two halves for both teams, with Creighton shooting .480 over the first 20 minutes before making .241 over the final 20. The Huskies shot .419 in the first half and erupted for a .593 clip in the second. Olivia Nelson-Ododa led UConn with 17 points, 14 rebounds and six assists, while Molly Mogensen sparked Creighton with 15 points, including a trio of three-pointers.

St. John’s Head Coach Joe Tartamella took over sole possession of first place on the program's all-time wins with Wednesday’s home win over Xavier. It marked the 10
th-year mentor’s 177
th victory. The Johnnies (7-14, 3-8) went 50.8 percent from the floor and 12-for-25 from beyond the arc during the victory. All five starters scored in double figures with Leilani Correa leading the way when she posted a game-high 20 points. Ayanna Townsend led a trio of Musketeers in double figures with a team-high 15 points to go along with eight rebounds.
