BIG EAST Player of the Week
Maddy Siegrist, Villanova, Sr., F
The nation’s scoring leader tallied back-to-back 32-point outings in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats, which included a stunning comeback win on Saturday. Siegrist totaled 32 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks off .542 shooting in Wednesday’s win at DePaul, before going for 32 points, seven rebounds, four blocks and two steals in a come-from-behind win over RV/RV St. John’s. Against the Red Storm, No. 25 Villanova trailed by 16 with just over five minutes to play before rallying to earn the 64-61 win. Siegrist had 18 points and two blocks in the fourth quarter alone, leading the comeback effort. She now has nine 30-point games this season and leads all Division I players with a 28.9 scoring average. With her 64 combined points last week, Siegrist moved to No. 2 all-time on the BIG EAST career scoring list, passing Louisville’s Angel McCoughtry. The weekly honor also increases her BIG EAST-record total to 14 Player of the Week certificates.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Emily La Chapell, Marquette, Fr., G
In the Golden Eagles’ lone game of the week, La Chapell scored 13 points off 5-of-8 shooting (.625) to go along with four assists and three rebounds. Marquette defeated Providence 80-57 in Milwaukee for its second win in its last three games.

Kendall Wingler, Butler, Jr., G – career-high 23 points in win at Georgetown on Wednesday; averaged 15.5 points and 50-percent shooting in a 1-1 week
Dorka Juhasz, UConn, Grad., F – 15.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 50-percent shooting in wins at St. John’s and against Georgetown; back-to-back double-doubles with 18 points and 10 boards against the Red Storm and 13 points, 10 rebounds against the Hoyas; also had seven assists against the Johnnies
Lauren Jensen, Creighton, Jr., G – 15.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists while shooting .545 from deep in a 2-0 week; made three triples in each win and shot .571 from the field overall
Aneesah Morrow, DePaul, So., F – finished third in scoring and tied for first in rebounding last week with 21.5 points, 11.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week; 28 points, 11 boards against No. 25 Villanova, 15 points, 11 boards at Xavier
Jordan King, Marquette, Sr., G – career-high 31 points off 12-23 shooting in win over Providence; added five assists, five rebounds and two steals
