BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Marlon de Bruijne, Old Dominion, Sr., F (Den Bosch, Netherlands)
De Bruijne led Old Dominion to a 2-0 weekend, as the Monarchs extended their win streak to seven games following wins over Villanova and Richmond. Claiming the honor for the second consecutive week, de Bruijbe put on an offensive clinic beginning with a two goal, two assist performance to lift Old Dominion past Villanova, 6-5, on Friday. Two days later, in a non-conference tilt with Richmond, she tallied her 13th goal and 30th point of the season, leading the Monarchs to a 4-0 win over Richmond.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Jodie Conolly, Liberty, R-Sr., D (Pietermartizburg, South Africa)
Conolly led No. 7 Liberty with six points (2G, 2A) this past weekend in wins over Quinnipiac and James Madison, while also leading the Lady Flames’ backline to a pair of victories. In Friday’s 2-1 victory at Quinnipiac, she assisted on both fourth quarter goals in lifting the Lady Flames to locking up a spot in the 2023 BIG EAST Field Hockey Championship Presented by JEEP. In Sunday’s 3-2 win over JMU at home, Conolly celebrated her Senior Day with two second half goals, including the game winner in the 52nd minute. Conolly and the Liberty defense surrendered only 12 total shots in the two games, five from JMU and seven from Quinnipiac.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Florencia Talarico, Providence, Fr., M (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
Talarico scored the game-winning goal in double-overtime to defeat UConn on Friday. It marked Talarico’s first career goal and lifted the Friars to their first victory over UConn in Storrs, Conn., since 1992. It marked the first win over UConn, overall, since 2006.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Bethany Dykema, Grad., D, Liberty
Dykema tallied one goal, a pair of assists and four points in wins at Quinnipiac and versus James Madison over the weekend. Dykema and the Liberty defense surrendered only 12 total shots in the two games, five from JMU and seven from Quinnipiac.
