BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Norah Sis, Creighton, Jr., OH
Sis led the BIG EAST in kills (4.67/set) and points (5.08/set) this weekend, pacing Creighton to its fifth consecutive conference sweep. The 2023 BIG EAST Player of the Year hit .421, good for fourth in the league this week, as the Bluejays defeated Connecticut and Providence on the road. Against UConn, Sis posted a match-high 15 kills, bolstered by 11 digs and a pair of blocks, on .406 hitting. Versus Providence, the reigning BIG EAST Player of the Year produced a match-high 13 kills with five digs and three blocks on a season-high .440 hitting.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Sarah Kushner, Marquette, Gr., L/DS
Kushner averaged 5.17 digs per set as Marquette refused to relinquish a set this weekend, defeating Butler and Xavier in straight sets. Against Butler (W, 3-0), Kushner posted a match-high 19 digs with a pair of assists. At Xavier (W, 3-0), the libero produced 12 digs, five assists, and a service ace. With the victories, the Golden Eagles reclaimed their position atop BIG EAST standings.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Abby Harrell, Villanova, Fr., OH
Harrell repeats as BIG EAST Freshman of the Week after averaging 4.13 kills per set over a pair of Villanova victories this weekend. In a 3-1 defeat of Seton Hall, the rookie registered a match-best 16 kills in addition to 14 digs, a block, and an assist. In Saturday’s 3-1 upset of St. John’s, Harrell once again led the match with 17 kills. She bolstered her offensive production with eight digs, four blocks, and a service ace.

Cora Taylor, Butler, So., S
Taylor posted a pair of double-doubles this weekend as the Bulldogs split the weekend against Marquette (L, 0-3) and DePaul (W, 3-2). The sophomore setter totaled 76 assists (9.50/set), 27 digs (3.38/set), and seven kills.
Kiana Schmitt, Creighton, Sr., MB
Schmitt led the BIG EAST in blocks this week, averaging 2.17 per set as Creighton defeated Connecticut (W, 3-0) and Villanova (W, 3-0) on the road. The fifth-year senior recorded six blocks against Connecticut, moving Creighton to a perfect 32-0 record when Schmitt contributes four or more blocks.
Ella Foti, Marquette, Jr/. RS/S
Playing in her first career matches as Marquette’s primary setter this weekend, Foti averaged 9.17 assists per set. With Foti’s helpers, the Golden Eagles hit .342 in sweeps of Butler and Xavier. Additionally, the junior combined for 11 digs, eight kills, and two blocks.
Perri Lucas, Seton Hall, Sr., OH
Lucas led the BIG EAST this week, hitting .456 with 29 kills as Seton Hall split a pair of road matches. Against Georgetown (W, 3-2), Lucas recorded a season-best 18 kills in an essential five-set victory. At Villanova (L, 1-3), Lucas contributed 11 kills on .417 hitting with two digs.
Andrea Campos, Villanova, Sr., S
Campos led the BIG EAST this week with 105 assists (13.13/set).The senior setter added five kills and eight service aces for Villanova, totaling 15 points as the 'Cats took down Seton Hall (W, 3-1) and St. John's (W, 3-1).
