BIG EAST Player of the Week
Lauren Jensen, Creighton, Sr., G
Jensen guided Creighton to wins over two previously unbeaten teams while at the Cancun Challenge, averaging 24.0 points in victories over Georgia Tech and Michigan State. Jensen began the week with 16 points, six rebounds and four assists in Thursday’s win over the Yellow Jackets before erupting for a career-high 32 points as the Bluejays defeated the Spartans. Jensen added eight rebounds and three assists against MSU. The 32 points were the most scored by a BIG EAST player last week and tied for second most in a game all season. Following the tournament, Jensen was named the Cancun Challenge – Riviera Division Most Valuable Player.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
KK Arnold, Connecticut, Fr., G
Arnold claims the honor for the second straight week after averaging 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and .462 shooting in a 1-1 week for the Huskies. Arnold’s week was highlighted by an 11-point outing against No. 2 UCLA on Friday. She was 4-of-8 from the field, including 1-for-1 from three, adding two rebounds and an assist in 27 minutes of turnover-free basketball. The UCLA game was also Arnold’s first career start. She added four points and four rebounds in Saturday’s win over Kansas.

Anaya Peoples, DePaul, Grad., G – BIG EAST’s No. 2 scorer in a 2-0 week for DePaul; averaged 25.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in wins over Howard and Loyola Chicago; career-high 29 points in Sunday’s win over Loyola
Kelsey Ransom, Georgetown, Sr., G – 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, BIG EAST-best 4.5 steals in a 2-0 west coast road swing; 15 points, six steals at Pepperdine before going for 20 points, three steals at Cal State Fullerton
Azana Baines, Seton Hall, Grad., G/F – 20.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists in a 1-1 week at the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship; game-high 24 points, three rebounds, two assists in win over East Carolina
Lucy Olsen, Villanova, Jr., G – 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists in a 2-0 week; team-high 21 points, including go-ahead three-pointer with 1:08 to play in Sunday’s win at Wake Forest
