BIG EAST women’s basketball teams posted a 4-0 record on Sunday to finish the weekend 8-0 in non-league action. No. 19 Marquette (11-0, 1-0 BIG EAST) remained undefeated on the year with a 99-91 win over Appalachian State, Georgetown (9-1) extended its winning streak to seven with a 60-44 win over Wake Forest, No. 20 Creighton (8-2, 0-1) bounced back with an 89-78 win at Drake and DePaul (7-5) reached the 90-point mark for the second straight game with a 98-69 victory over Alabama State.

Sunday Standouts
Creighton’s Emma Ronsiek was the BIG EAST’s top scorer on Sunday, tallying 31 points off 13-of-19 shooting in the win at Drake. Marquette’s Frannie Hottinger had the most rebounds by a BIG EAST player this season with her 14-point, 21-board performance against App State. The sophomores showed up for DePaul as Maeve McErlane and Kate Clarke combined for 46 points against Alabama State, while Kelsey Ransom sparked Georgetown with a game-high 22 points against Wake Forest.

BIG EAST play opens for Butler and UConn on Monday night as the pair meets in Hartford at 7 p.m. ET. The game will air on SNY, which can be streamed out of market in the FOX Sports app and foxsports.com. The Bulldogs (7-3) were off last week and have won four out of their last five games, most recently defeating Chicago State 84-51 on Dec. 10. The Huskies are coming off an 86-62 win over 18^th-ranked Louisville on Saturday and have also won four out of their last five.
