Karlen sparked the 19
th-ranked Golden Eagles to another unbeaten week, averaging 24.5 points, 8.0 rebounds 2.5 assists and 2.5 blocks, along with 50-percent shooting. In Wednesday’s BIG EAST-opening win over 20
th-ranked Creighton, Karlen tallied a team-high 25 points and game-high 12 rebounds, leading the Golden Eagles to a 76-70 victory. In Sunday’s win over Appalachian State, she filled the stat sheet with 24 points, four rebounds, four assists and four blocks, going 10-of-11 from the free-throw line. Marquette improved to 11-0 on the year, continuing its best start in program history.

KK Arnold, Connecticut, Fr., G
In 17
th-ranked Connecticut’s lone game of the week, Arnold tallied 11 points and five assists as the Huskies took down 18
th-ranked Louisville, 86-62, on Saturday in Hartford. The rookie guard added a game-best three steals in 28 minutes of action. This is Arnold’s third BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honor and it marks the fifth time in six weeks the Huskies have collected the award.
