Four Teams Split #BIGEASTwlax Weekly Awards

BIG EAST Attacker of the Week
Sydney Pappas, Villanova, So., A
In a 2-0 week for Villanova, Pappas totaled 13 points off 11 goals and two assists. In a 16-7 victory over La Salle, the sophomore attacker scored six goals, made one assist and had one ground ball. Pappas also made five goals and had one assist in an 11-10 win against Navy. Pappas currently ranks eighth nationally in goals per game with 4.50.

BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week
Ellie Curry, Denver, Sr., M
Curry totaled five points off two goals and three assists for the No. 9 Pioneers in an 11-4 win at Ohio State. The senior midfielder had three shots, with all of them being on goal. Additionally, Curry added two ground balls and two caused turnovers in the road win.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Leah Warehime, Georgetown, So., GK
The sophomore goalkeeper made nine saves and allowed only three goals in a 10-9 win against Harvard. Warehime faced 18 shots and saved half of them in the victory.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Lola Mancuso, Xavier, Fr., A
In a 2-0 week for the Musketeers, Mancuso had 10 goals and two assists for a total of 12 points. The freshman attacker had four goals on that road against Radford and notched six goals and two assists at Longwood. Additionally, Mancuso totaled three ground balls and two cause turnovers in the two victories.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Kate Shaffer, Connecticut, Sr., A – totaled six points off four goals and two assists in a 14-7 win over Saint Joseph's; Shaffer also added six shots on goal, one ground ball and one draw control in the victory
Landyn White, Connecticut, Gr., GK – 11 saves, four ground balls and only five goals allowed in the 14-7 win over the Hawks
Mary Schumar, Marquette, Sr., A – set a program single-game record with eight assists in against No. 3 Northwestern; her eight assists are the most by a player in a single-game in NCAA Division I this season; Schumar also added three ground balls and one caused turnover
