Liza Karlen had a career-high 30 points and eclipsed the 1,000-career point mark as the 23
rd-ranked Golden Eagles scored a 75-54 win at Seton Hall on Tuesday night. Karlen shined in the nationally televised tilt, going 11-of-16 from the field and snagging six boards. Marquette (14-2, 3-2 BIG EAST) shot .537 from the field while holding the Pirates (10-6, 2-3) to a .375 clip. The Hall drained 10 threes, including two by top scorer Micah Gray, who finished with 16 points. Tied with just over eight minutes to go in the third, the Golden Eagles went on a decisive 14-2 run, outscoring SHU 27-13 in the frame to pull away.

St. John’s 60, Xavier 42
Jillian Archer had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead St. John’s to a 60-42 road win at Xavier on Tuesday night. It marked the Red Storm’s third straight win and sixth victory in their last seven games. St. John’s (10-7, 4-1) maintained its solo spot in second place in the BIG EAST standings after shooting .449 from the field and committing just nine turnovers. The Musketeers (1-12, 0-4) were led by Aizhanique Mayo who tallied 14 points, while Nila Blackford grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds.
