BIG EAST Player of the Week
Faith Masonius, Seton Hall, Gr., F
Masonius erupted for a career-high 23 points on 11-for-17 shooting to go with six rebounds, four assists and three steals in an 84-40 opening-night triumph over Wagner. Playing in her first game as a Pirate, Masonius did all her damage in only 27 minutes. She is is the first Seton Hall player to be named BIG EAST Player of the Week since Lauren Park-Lane claimed the honor in 2022.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Sarah Strong, UConn, Fr., F

Strong made her collegiate debut and scored a game-high 17 points, adding four rebounds, three assists and six steals in the commanding 86-32 win versus Boston U. She then had 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one block, and two steals in the 80-49 victory at USF. Strong didn't play in the fourth quarter in either game.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Paige Bueckers, UConn, R-Sr., G
Bueckers averaged 17.5 points on 73.7 percent shooting from the field, 3.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals in a 2-0 week for UConn. She scored 13 points and added four rebounds, seven assists, one block, and five steals in three quarters against BU. Then led the Huskies with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting and added three rebounds and two steals in three quarters against USF.

Jorie Allen, DePaul, Gr., F
Allen averaged 20 ppg, 8.0 rpg, shot 65-percent from the field and went 14-15 from the free-throw line (.933) in two games for DePaul.

Kelsey Ransom, Georgetown, Gr., G
Ransom finished a 1-1 week for Georgetown averaging 21.5 points and 7.5 rebounds. The guard scored 27 points at Wisconsin to go with seven boards and three steals.

Lashae Dwyer, St. John’s, Sr., G
Dwyer scored 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting and added four assists, four rebounds and four steals in the season-opening win 80-39 versus Saint Peter's. She then tallied her second-straight double-figure scoring performance on Friday chipping in 12 points in a 67-50 win at LIU.

Bronagh Power-Cassidy, Villanova, Gr., G
Power-Cassidy had 17 points on 7-of-12 from the field, six rebounds and two assists in the 64-56 win over Wake Forest.
