BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Ava Martin, Jr., OH, Creighton
Martin averaged 4.71 kills per set on .429 hitting with 2.00 digs, 0.29 blocks, and 0.14 aces per frame as Creighton finalized an unbeaten conference campaign with road wins over DePaul (3-1) and Xavier (3-0). In Friday’s victory over the Blue Demons, the junior logged a season-best 20 kills with six digs to help clinch the Bluejays’ first outright regular season title since 2020. Versus the Musketeers, Martin registered 13 kills with eight digs and a pair of blocks on .478 hitting.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Kiara Reinhardt, Sr., MB, Creighton
Reinhardt led the BIG EAST with 2.00 blocks per set, helping Creighton hold opponents to a league-low .097 hitting last week. In Friday’s 3-1 victory over DePaul, the senior logged a season-best 11 blocks with two kills and a pair of assists. In Saturday’s sweep of Xavier, Reinhardt registered six kills, three assists, and three blocks on .500 hitting as the Bluejays completed a perfect conference campaign.

BIG EAST Setter of the Week
Yadhira Anchante, Gr., S, Marquette
Anchante repeats as Setter of the Week after again leading the league in assists per set (12.71). The graduate student helped the Golden Eagles hit .306 in wins at Xavier (3-0) and DePaul (3-1). In Friday’s sweep of the Musketeers, Anchante contributed 39 assists, seven digs, three kills, and a block. During Sunday’s victory over the Blue Demons, she dished out 50 assists with eight digs and four kills.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
McKenna Brand, Fr., L, UConn
Brand anchored the Huskies’ defense, averaging a conference-best 5.50 digs per set, as UConn swept St. John’s and Villanova to secure the third seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Volleyball Championship. In Friday’s win in Queens, the rookie registered 14 digs with a pair of aces. At Villanova, Brand logged 19 digs and five assists.

Honor Roll
Anna Herman, Fr., MB, UConn
Herman totaled 2.00 blocks per set, tying with Creighton’s Reinhardt to lead the BIG EAST, as UConn enjoyed an undefeated weekend. The freshman had six blocks and two digs in a 3-0 win over St. John’s on Friday followed by six blocks in Saturday’s sweep of Villanova.
Doga Kutlu, Sr., S, UConn
Kutulu contributed 12.00 assists per set, pacing UConn to a 2-0 weekend. At St. John’s, the senior registered 34 assists, eight digs, and six aces. Versus Villanova, Kutlu logged 38 assists with 11 digs and an ace.
Kendra Wait, Sr., S, Creighton
Wait averaged 11.14 assists, 2.86 digs, 1.29 blocks, and 1.00 kills per set on .312 hitting as Creighton capped off just the third 18-0 record in BIG EAST history. Wait’s assists per set ranked third in the league this week, helping the Bluejays to a league-leading .356 hitting percentage. In Friday’s 3-1 win over DePaul, Wait dished out 42 assists with 10 digs and a career-high eight blocks.
Hattie Bray, Sr., MB, Marquette
Bray hit .500 with 3.80 kills and 1.20 blocks per set in victories over Xavier (3-0) and DePaul (3-1). In the sweep of Xavier, the senior hit a massive .700 with 15 kills, five blocks, and a service ace.
Erin Jones, Jr., RS/S, St. John’s
Jones made league history this weekend, breaking the BIG EAST single-season triple-double record with her eighth triple-double in conference play against Providence. The junior accomplished the feat behind 21 assists, 16 digs, and 15 kills on .609 hitting against the Friars, adding three aces and a trio of blocks in the process. Over the Red Storm’s 1-1 weekend, Jones totaled 27 kills at a .420 clip with 24 assists, 22 digs, three blocks, and three aces. This season, she has produced nine total triple-doubles – eight of which occurred in conference play.
