BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Ava Martin, Jr., OH, Creighton
Martin averaged 4.75 points, 4.33 kills, 0.50 blocks, and 0.17 aces per set on .426 hitting as Creighton swept BIG EAST opponents St. John’s and Villanova this weekend. In Friday’s victory over the Red Storm, the outside hitter contributed 13 kills, five digs, and a block on .387 hitting. In Sunday’s sweep of the Wildcats, Martin logged 13 kills, two digs, two blocks, and an ace on .478 hitting.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Kiara Reinhardt, Sr., MB, Creighton
Reinhardt led all BIG EAST competitors with 2.67 block per set as the Bluejays defeated St. John’s and Villanova without relinquishing a set. The senior also contributed 1.83 kills and 0.33 digs per set.
Versus St. John’s, Reinhardt registered a season-best 10 blocks with four kills, two digs, and a pair of assists. Against Villanova, the middle blocker produced seven kills, six blocks, and a pair of assists. On the weekend, Reinhardt contributed to a Creighton defense that held opponents to just 0.073 hitting.
BIG EAST Setter of the Week
Logan Flaugh, Sr., S, Xavier
Flaugh led the league with 12.43 assists per set as Xavier split the weekend. In Friday’s 3-1 victory over Georgetown, the senior dished out 52 assists with 10 digs and four kills. During Sunday’s setback to Seton Hall (L, 0-3), Flaugh logged 35 assists with 8 digs and a kill.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Loren Winn, Fr., RS, UConn
Winn averaged 3.14 kills, 1.29 digs, and 0.86 blocks per set on .364 hitting as UConn enjoyed an undefeated weekend. The rookie registered nine kills, eight digs, and four blocks in Wednesday’s win over Providence (3-1). Against Butler (W, 3-0), Winn logged 13 kills with a pair of blocks.
Honor Roll
Taylor Pannell, Gr., MB, UConn
Pannell averaged 3.57 kills, 1.29 blocks, and 0.57 aces per set as UConn earned two wins this weekend.
Jill Pressly, Gr., OH, DePaul
Pressly led the league with 4.56 kills per set on .322 hitting as DePaul defeated Seton Hall (3-1) on Friday before falling to Georgetown (2-3), Sunday.
Natalie Ring, RS-So., OH, Marquette
Ring registered 3.67 kills per set on .404 hitting as Marquette earned a pair of straight set victories this weekend. The redshirt sophomore’s 11 kills in Friday’s victory over Villanova were a match best.
Lucia Corsaro, Sr., L/DS, Xavier
Corsaro led the BIG EAST with 6.14 digs per set this week. In Sunday’s loss to Seton Hall, she registered a season-high 22 digs with one assist.
Emma Grace, RS-Jr., OH, Xavier
Grace ranked second among conference competitors in kills (4.43/set) and third in digs (5.14) as the Musketeers split the week. In Friday’s victory over Georgetown, the redshirt junior logged a career-high 22 kills to go along with 18 digs and a pair of blocks.
