NEW YORK – UConn redshirt senior guard Paige Bueckers was named BIG EAST Player of the Week after tying a season-high with 29 points in the 73-60 defeat of then-No. 18 Ole Miss. Villanova freshman guard Jasmine Bascoe earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week with back-to-back double-digit scoring efforts, including 26 points against Saint Joseph’s.

Creighton senior forward Morgan Maly, DePaul graduate student forward Jorie Allen, Georgetown graduate student guard Kelsey Ransom, Marquette sophomore forward Skylar Forbes, and Seton Hall graduate student forward Faith Masonius were named to this week’s honor roll.

BIG EAST Player of the Week
Paige Bueckers, UConn, R-Sr., G

Bueckers averaged 26.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game in two wins while shooting .667 percent and .556 percent from three. The guard netted 23 points and dished six assists in 29 minutes of work in the 71-52 win against Oregon State. The Baha Mar Women's Championship MVP, Bueckers tied a season-high with 29 points in the 73-60 defeat of then-No. 18 Ole Miss.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Jasmine Bascoe, Villanova, Fr., G

Bascoe averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 assists, 2.0 steals, and went 5-for-9 from the 3-point line in a 1-1 week for Villanova. In the 81-65 win over Saint Joseph’s, the freshman scored a season-high 26 points on 10-for-16 shooting from the field, including a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. She added four assists, four rebounds and two steals in the victory.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Morgan Maly, Creighton, Sr., F

Maly was named to the Emerald Coast Classic All-Tournament Team as she guided Creighton to a 3-0 week with wins over Wichita State, Syracuse and Tulsa. She led the Bluejays with 19.7 ppg, shooting 62.2 percent from the field (23-of-37) and 71.4 percent from beyond the arc (10-of-14).

Jorie Allen, DePaul, Gr., F
Allen led DePaul in scoring last week as she averaged 17.7 points per game against No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 9 Kansas State and SIUE. Allen a scored game-high 21 points in a win over SIUE while shooting .570 from the field.

Kelsey Ransom Georgetown, Gr., G
Ransom averaged 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 7.0 assists in victories over Boston U. and Howard.  She was the lone Hoya in double figures in the 69-63 crosstown rival triumph over Howard with 28 points.

Skylar Forbes, Marquette, So., F
Forbes averaged 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in a pair of wins against Rutgers (59-57) and Maryland Eastern Shore (74-48). The Battle of the Banks MVP, Forbes recorded career-highs in points (23) and blocks (5) versus Rutgers for her first 20-point game.

Faith Masonius, Seton Hall, Gr., F
Masonius scored a career-high 25 points on 11-for-21 shooting, including 3-for-6 from three-point range against No. 6 USC.
