NEW YORK – Seton Hall freshman guard Jada Eads was named both the BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Player and Freshman of the Week, announced on Monday. In a 69-49 victory at Butler, Eads scored a career-high 26 points for her fourth-straight game finishing with double digits.
Creighton senior guard Lauren Jensen, UConn redshirt senior guard Paige Bueckers, DePaul junior guard Taylor Johnson-Matthews, Georgetown graduate student guard Kelsey Ransom and Marquette sophomore guard Halle Vice named to this week’s honor roll.

Eads registered a career-high in scoring for a fourth-consecutive game, going for 26 points on 10-for-19 shooting, including 3-for-6 from three-point range in the 69-49 road win at Butler. Eads also had four steals and three rebounds.

Lauren Jensen, Creighton, Sr., G
Jensen led Creighton to a 75-56 BIG EAST win at St. John's with a team-best 23 points on 10-of-18 from the field.
Paige Bueckers, UConn, R-Sr., G
Bueckers recorded her fifth-straight 20-point game as she finished with 23 points on 8-for-12 shooting and 6-for-6 from the foul line in the 67-41 win versus Providence.
Taylor Johnson-Matthews, DePaul, Jr., G
Johnson-Matthews registered her first career double-double (19 points, 10 rebounds) to go with a career-high six assists against Marquette.
Kelsey Ransom, Georgetown, Gr., G
In the 78-68 victory over UMES, Ransom led the charge with 29 points, six rebounds, seven assists and one steal.
Halle Vice, Marquette, So., G
Vice finished with 17 points, a career-high tying 11 rebounds, a career-high five assists, two steals, and one block in the 79-58 win at DePaul.
