All-BIG EAST Swim and Dive Honorees Announced

NEW YORK – Ninety-five swimming & diving student-athletes were named to the All-BIG EAST team on Friday after their performances at the 2024 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships presented by JEEP.
 
The ALL-BIG EAST squad is comprised of BIG EAST competitors who finished in the top three in any individual or relay event at the championships.
 
Forty-eight women and 47 men complete the list of honorees. A total of 52 student-athletes – 26 women and 26 men – earned all-conference for multiple events. Georgetown’s Erin Hood and Xavier’s Ethan Saunders garnered the most All-BIG EAST accolades with six nods a piece.

For the women, BIG EAST champion Villanova once again led the league with 12 honorees. Georgetown and UConn followed with 11 and 10 all-conference student-athletes, respectively. Xavier was represented nine times; Seton Hall rounded out the group with six honorees.
On the men’s side, the BIG EAST champions, Georgetown, paced the conference with 14 honorees. The Hoyas were followed by Seton Hall (11), Xavier (10), Villanova (8), and Providence (4).

In a repeat of the last two championships, the 2024 BIG EAST Swimming & Diving Championships once again went to the Villanova women and Georgetown men. The Wildcats won their 11th consecutive, and 16th overall, BIG EAST crown while the Hoyas took home their third consecutive conference title after taking the first in program history in 2022.
