UNCASVILLE, Conn. - Creighton was 10-for-10 from the foul line in the fourth quarter as the No. 2 seed Creighton Bluejays topped No. 7 seed Seton Hall 72-65 in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST women's basketball tournament on Saturday evening at Mohegan Sun Arena.
Lauren Jensen scored nine of her 22 points in the fourth quarter while Morgan Maly led Creighton with 23 points as Creighton advances to the semifinals for the second-straight season. Creighton will face the winner of the St. John's/Georgetown game in Sunday’s second semifinal set to tipoff at 5pm ET on FS1.
Jensen had the first five points of the fourth quarter to give Creighton an eight-point lead after neither team led by more than three points in either the second or third quarters.
Molly Mogensen had 14 points for No. 23 Creighton (25-4).
Micah Gray had 15 points, Azana Baines added 14 points and Kae Satterfield added 11 points for Seton Hall (17-14) as the Pirates and Bluejays met in the quarterfinals for the fourth year in a row.
