2024 BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards Announced (9.2.24)

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Maja Lardner, Georgetown, Sr., F
Lardner had a hand in three goals in the 6-0 win versus Lafayette on Sunday, as she tallied two goals and an assist in a five-point outing. This was Lardner’s second multi-goal game of the season. Lardner recorded an assist on Henley Tippins’ goal in the ninth minute, followed by back-to-back goals in the second half.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Claire Manning, Georgetown, Sr., D
Manning was part of a defensive unit that held Lafayette to just three shots in the 6-0 victory. The senior finished the game with a career-high two assists.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Anna Pierce, Butler, R-Jr., GK
Pierce made three saves to preserve a 3-0 shutout over Ball State on Thursday for her second shutout of the season and ninth of her career. She then had seven saves, including a PK, against No. 9 Notre Dame on Sunday.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Jocelyn Lohmeyer, Georgetown, Fr., F
Lohmeyer scored two goals in the 6-0 win over Lafayette marking her first career multi-goal game. Lohmeyer gave the Hoyas a 3-0 advantage going into halftime with her first collegiate goal. With 12 minutes left in the contest, she scored her second goal of the game off an assist from Lizzie Heller to secure the 6-0 victory.

randji scored the game-winning goal in Butler’s 3-0 win over Ball State and added an assist on the second goal of the match.

Laci Lewis, UConn, Sr., D
Lewis recorded a pair of assists in the 2-0 win at Boston University.

Alyssa Zalac, Creighton, Jr., GK
Zalac made four saves in the 3-0 shutout against Western Michigan.

Jordyn Levy, St. John’s, Sr., F
Levy scored the game-winning goal versus Saint Joseph’s with just one second remaining.
 
Hannah Dickinson, Villanova, Jr., GK
Dickinson picked up her third-straight clean sheet with three saves in the 1-0 victory over Jacksonville. She then made 10 saves, the most in a game by a Villanova goalkeeper since 2021, against No. 1 Florida State.
