Georgetown, Providence and Xavier Earn BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards (9.30.24)

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Henley Tippins, Georgetown, Jr., F
Tippins tallied two goals and an assist in wins over Seton Hall (5-0) and UConn (3-1). The junior netted two goals against Seton Hall and had an assist on what proved to be the game-winning goal against the Huskies.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Erika Harwood, Georgetown, D, Sr.
Harwood helped anchor the Hoya backline in 180 minutes of action in a 2-0 week against Seton Hall (5-0) and UConn (3-1). The senior played a pivotal role in GU posting its eighth shutout of the season against Seton Hall as they held the team to two shots on goal. Harwood also recorded an assist in Georgetown's win over UConn.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Ellie Thallman, Providence, Gr., GK
Thallman kept two second-half clean sheets in two shutout wins versus St. John’s (1-0) and Butler (1-0). She saved a penalty shot late in the second half against Butler to end the game with two saves.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Samantha Erbach, Xavier, Fr., F
Erbach
scored her fourth goal of the season in the 1-1 draw with the Huskies, helping Xavier remain unbeaten in BIG EAST play. In Xavier's 3-0 win over Villanova, Erbach assisted on Regan Dancer's game-winner, her third of the season.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Elena Milam, DePaul, Gr., GK
In DePaul's match against Butler, Milam secured her fourth shutout of the season to help earn the 0-0 draw for the Blue Demons.

Natalie Tavana,Seton Hall, Sr., M
Tavana assisted on both of Seton Hall’s goals in the 2-2 draw at St. John’s on Sunday. Her performance marked the second multi-assist game of her career.

Jailene DeJesus, St. John's, Sr., M
DeJesus scored a brace over a span of just 6:36 to take a 2-0 lead in the first half against Seton Hall.


Hannah Dickinson, Villanova, Jr., GK
Dickinson anchored the Villanova backline to its fifth shutout of the year in a 2-0 win at Creighton, the most by a Villanova team in a single season since 2019. The junior saved all eight of Creighton's shots that landed on frame.

Olivia Neal, Villanova, Gr., D
Neal helped the Wildcats defense hold Creighton in the 2-0 win despite taking 15 shot attempts with eight on goal, the fifth shutout for Villanova this season.
