Four Teams Share BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards (10.13.25)

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Samantha Erbach, Xavier, So., F

Erbach collected five points on two goals and an assist in Xavier’s 5-2 win over Seton Hall on Saturday. She scored in the eighth minute to give the Musketeers the 1-0 advantage. Her 11th assist of the season came in the 47th minute, it what resulted in the game clinching tally. She pushed the lead to 4-2 in the 51st minute. Overall, the sophomore leads the conference and ranks second nationally with 31 points on 10 goals and 11 assists this season.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Kate Dobsch, Villanova, Gr., M
Dobsch helped both sides of the pitch in the win at St. John's. She was part of the Villanova defense that held the Red Storm to just two shots and no shots on frame, the second time the 'Cats have done so to an opponent this season. Dobsch also helped the team to its seventh shutout win.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Cara Martin, Georgetown, Sr., GK
Martin recorded her fifth shutout of the season, helping Georgetown earn its sixth straight BIG EAST victory.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Avrie Nelsen, Villanova, Fr., F

Nelsen made her 12th start in 13 appearances, taking a pair of shots in a 1-0 win over St. John’s. She has at least one shot attempt in three consecutive games. 

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Chioma Okafor, UConn, Sr., F

Okafor scored twice in a 2-2 draw against Marquette. 

Kaya Hanson, Georgetown, Jr., D
Hanson anchored a back line that limited DePaul to just one shot in a 2-0 win over the weekend.

Emily Fix, Marquette, Jr., F
Fix played a key role in both of Marquette’s goals in a 2-2 draw against UConn, drawing a foul in the 26th minute to set up a penalty kick, as well as scoring a goal in the 59th minute. 

Adria Kitzinger, Seton Hall, Jr., F
Kitzinger scored a pair of goals in a loss to Xavier.

Alex Little, Villanova, Jr., F
Little registered the game-winning goal in a 1-0 triumph over the Red Storm, Villanova’s first win at St. John’s since 2000.
