BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Natalie Ring, Sr., OH, Marquette
Ring led the BIG EAST with 4.38 kills per set as Marquette defeated Seton Hall (3-1) and St. John’s (3-1) on the road. The senior registered 4.94 points, 2.75 digs, and 0.75 blocks per set on .316 hitting. Against the Pirates, Ring logged a double-double with a match-best 19 kills and 14 digs.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Hattie Bray, Gr., MB, Marquette
Bray averaged a BIG EAST-best 1.63 blocks per set this week as Marquette picked up a pair of league wins. Additionally, she contributed 3.50 kills and 0.50 digs per set on .512 hitting. Against St. John’s, the graduate student logged a match-high nine blocks with nine kills.
BIG EAST Setter of the Week
Annalea Maeder, Sr., S, Creighton
Maeder averaged 10.67 assists, 2.17 digs, and 2.17 kills per set, pacing Creighton to a 2-0 weekend highlighted by the best team hitting percentage in the conference (.424). In a 3-0 victory over Villanova, the senior dished out 30 assists, seven digs, and a career-high nine kills on .571 hitting. As a team, the Bluejays hit a season-best .457 against the Wildcats.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Kendall Timme, Fr., OH, DePaul
Timme led the BIG EAST with 5.00 points per set behind 3.88 kills, 3.13 digs, and 1.13 blocks per set as DePaul defeated St. John’s (3-0) and Seton Hall (3-2) on the road. She registered a double-double against the Red Storm with 25 digs and 14 kills on .481 hitting plus nine blocks and four aces.
Honor Roll
Ava Martin, Sr., OH, Creighton
Martin averaged 4.17 kills, 1.30 digs, and 0.33 aces on .379 hitting as the Bluejays swept Georgetown and Villanova on the road.
Kiara Reinhardt, Sr., MB, Creighton
Reinhardt averaged 3.00 kills and 1.33 blocks per set on a massive .696 hitting in victories over the Hoyas and Wildcats.
Amanda Saeger, So., S, DePaul
Saeger averaged a league-leading 11.88 assists per set while contributing 1.88 digs and 0.50 blocks per set. The sophomore logged a career-high 58 assists with 15 digs for a double-double in Saturday’s reverse sweep of Seton Hall.
Hadley Pride, RS-Sr., L, Providence
Pride led the BIG EAST with 6.17 digs per set. She continues to pace all league liberos by over 1.00 dig per set through six conference matches.
Margo Kemp, RS-So., MB, Xavier
Kemp averaged 1.29 blocks and 2.00 kills per set as Xavier defeated UConn (3-1) and Providence (3-1) to remain second in the BIG EAST.
