BIG EAST Female Athlete of the Week
Heidi Wu, Fr., Georgetown (New York, NY)
Wu made a splash in her first collegiate conference competition, becoming the high point performer in Georgetown’s setback to Villanova with three individual event wins. The rookie registered a first-place finish in the 100 back (56.05) before setting a pool record in the 200 back with the fastest time in the BIG EAST this season (2:03.17). She also touched the wall first in the 200 IM (2:03.17). Additionally, Wu swam the lead off leg for the winning 200 medley relay squad (1:42.66).

Owen Watkins, So., Georgetown (Darnestown, Maryland)
Watkins led the Hoyas past Villanova (199.5-100.5) with two individual event wins and a pair of relay victories. The sophomore set a Georgetown program record en route to winning the 50 free with a time of 19.70. He also touched the wall first in the 100 fly (49.35). He anchored the winning 200 medley relay team (1:29.14) before swimming the lead off leg for the victorious 200 free relay squad (1:22.30).
