A trio of Johnnies tallied season-highs in the scoring column, led by 26 points from Bryce Hopkins. Oziyah Sellers added 22 and Dillon Mitchell 18 as SJU connected on a season-best 11 3-pointers in the 15-point win.

The backcourt trio of Tyler Perkins (21 points), Acaden Lewis (20), and Bryce Lindsay (12) combined for 53 of Villanova's 89 points in the win. The Wildcats broke the game open in the second half, connecting on 10-of-14 shots from the floor to start the period. Despite playing without Duke Brennan, the nation's leading rebounder, Villanova held a 34-29 edge on the glass.

Seton Hall dropped its first game of the season in the second round of the Maui Invitational. The Pirates led by as many as 13 in the first half, but saw its lead whittled away by a steady stream of USC free throws over the final 20 minutes of play. Budd Clark led four SHU players in double-digits, scoring a season-high 18 points to go with seven assists and three steals. AJ Staton-McCray added 17 points and four steals.
