PC’s defense was relentless, forcing five turnovers in the first eight minutes and limiting Alcorn State to just two points in the fourth quarter. The Friars also dominated on the glass with a 43-22 advantage.

Kennedy Henry finished with 11 points, five rebounds, four blocks, four steals, and two assists. Villanova held La Salle to 2-for-13 shooting in the first quarter.
 
Fudd Named AP National Player of the Week
UConn graduate guard Azzi Fudd was named this week’s Associated Press national women’s basketball player of the week. Fudd averaged 27.5 points on a shooting split of .581/.688/1.000 during a 2-0 week at the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase. She scored a season-high 31 points, going 7-for-12 from three and grabbing five rebounds in the 72-69 victory against No. 6 Michigan. In the 93-41 win over Utah, Fudd shot 9-for-11 and went 4-for-4 from three for 24 points. She also earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors for her outstanding performance.
