NEW YORK – UConn graduate student guard Azzi Fudd scored 17 points in the 79-51 win at #16 USC, shooting 6-for-11 (3-for-6 from three) to be named the BIG EAST Player of the Week. Teammate Blanca Quiñonez had 12 points, four rebounds and a career-high four steals off the bench to earn freshman of the week.
Butler redshirt-sophomore forward Mallory Miller, DePaul junior guard Kate Novik, Seton Hall junior guard Savannah Catalon, Marquette junior guard Halle Vice, and Xavier sophomore guard MacKenzie Givens were named to this week’s honor roll.

Azzi Fudd, UConn, Gr., G
Fudd led UConn with 17 points in the 79-51 win at #16 USC, shooting 6-for-11 (3-for-6 from three) with three rebounds and four assists. She was part of a defensive unit that held the Trojans to their lowest point total of the season. Fudd was the primary defender on leading scorer Jazzy Davidson, holding her to a season-low 10 points.

The freshman registered 12 points, four rebounds and a career-high four steals off the bench in the 79-51 victory at #16 USC. Quiñonez was part of a defensive unit that held the Trojans to their lowest point total of the season. This is her third freshman of the week honors this season.

Mallory Miller, Butler, R-So., F
Miller averaged 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week against Indiana State (101-56) and Eastern Illinois (74-52). Miller scored a career-high 16 points and added eight assists, four blocks and a steal against Indiana St.
Kate Novik, DePaul, Jr., G
Novik recorded her first career triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, marking the eighth triple-double in program history in the 78-48 victory versus UMass Lowell.
Halle Vice, Marquette, Jr., G
Vice matched a career-high with 23 points and recorded her second double-double (10 rebounds) of the season and ninth of her career in the 89-42 win over Le Moyne. She finished 10-of-15 from the floor, marking a career-best in field goals made.
Savannah Catalon, Seton Hall, Jr., G
Catalon finished a 1-1 week, averaging 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 steals, and 2.5 assists per game. On Tuesday against Columbia, the guard had 16 points, five rebounds and a season-high five steals. In the 69-63 win over SEC foe Auburn on Sunday, Catalon had 15 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, along with eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals. She was 4-for-6 from three-point range against the Tigers, which fueled a 69-63 victory.
MacKenzie Givens, Xavier, So., G/F
Givens led Xavier to a 2-0 week with wins over Long Island (64-57) and Saint Francis (63-51), averaging 13.0 points and 7.0 rebounds. She had 18 points and 11 rebounds vs Long Island for her first career double-double. She then added 13 points and seven rebounds vs Saint Francis.
