Tre Carroll had a career night for the Musketeers, as Xavier outlasted Cincinnati, 79-74, in the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout Friday night. Xavier has now won 11 straight games at the Cintas Center against its rival, doing so Friday in front of a new Cintas Center attendance record of 10,890 fans. Carroll poured in 30 points on 14-of-23 shooting and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. Filip Borovicanin and Jovan Milicevic each chipped in 12 points.

UConn 83, East Texas A&M 59 - Box Score
UConn won its fourth-straight game, defeating East Texas A&M, 83-59, at Gampel Pavilion. Solo Ball led four Huskies in double-figures with 14 points as Connecticut shot 52.3 percent from the floor, including a white-hot 61.3 percent in the second half. Eric Reibe continued his strong form in another start and recorded 13 points, six rebounds and three blocks, while Alex Karaban finished with 12 points.

Saturday features wall-to-wall BIG EAST action. Seven games - including several intracity and in-state rivals - will air on six different networks, including a trio of games beginning at noon on truTV, with Providence hosting Rhode Island.  Butler takes on Boise State at Hinkle at 2 p.m. and DePaul and Arkansas-Pine Bluff meet at 9 p.m. on truTV.

A pair of long-time rivalries are renewed, as Marquette and Wisconsin meet on the hardwood for the 132nd time.  Tipoff in Madison is set for 2 p.m. and the game will air on FS1.  Villanova and Penn meet for the Big Five Classic title at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia at 7:30 p.m.

Seton Hall travels to Manhattan, Kan. to take on Kansas State at 4 p.m. on ESPNU.  St. John's and Ole Miss meet at Madison Square Garden at 8 p.m. on Peacock.
