BIG EAST and FOX Sports Announce 2025 Volleyball Television Schedule

NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference and FOX Sports announced five volleyball matches for the 2025 season set to air on FS1.

A pair of top 25 teams a season ago, as well as participants in the BIG EAST Championship match, both Creighton and Marquette will play multiple non-conference matches on FS1, before a conference showdown on Oct. 2.

No. 12 Creighton will open its 2025 regular-season on FS1 at 5 p.m. ET on Aug. 23rd against defending national champion and second-ranked Penn State in Lincoln, Neb. The neutral site affair is part of the AVCA First Serve. Creighton and Penn State played a five-set match in December in the Elite Eight, a match won by PSU en route to the program's eighth national title.

On Sept. 12 at 9 p.m. ET Creighton will host fourth-ranked Louisville on FS1. Four days later, the Bluejays will host in-state rival and topped-ranked Nebraska at 7:30 p.m. ET on FS1.

On Friday, Sept. 19, Marquette, receiving votes in the AVCA Preseason Poll, welcomes No. 16 Florida to the Al McGuire Center at 7 p.m. ET.

On Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. ET, Marquette returns home for a matchup against No. 11 Minnesota on FS1.

The Golden Eagles and Bluejays face off on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. ET on FS1 in Milwaukee, a rematch of the 2024 BIG EAST Championship game.

Under first-year head coach Brian Rosen, the Bluejays enter 2025 fresh off a historic 32-3 season that ended in the Elite Eight.

Marquette went 25-9 in the fall of 2024 and made its third NCAA Regional appearance before falling to the eventual NCAA Champion Penn State in the regional semifinals.

The Golden Eagles will host the BIG EAST tournament for the ninth time in program history, with the event played on the weekend prior to Thanksgiving for the first time since 2012. MU hosted consecutive years in 2011 and 2012 when the league was undergoing realignment. Since the 2011 campaign, either Marquette or Creighton has hosted every league tournament except in 2016 when the event was played at Butler's Hinkle Fieldhouse.
