Sa’Mya Wyatt scored 13 points, seven from the free throw line, and had four assists. Brooke Moore grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds. Butler’s Caroline Dotsey paced the team in points (10) and rebounds (6). The Bulldogs forced 10 turnovers for the 18th straight game forcing double-digit turnovers. Butler held the Johnnies scoreless in the first five minutes of the third quarter for its first lead since the last minute of the first quarter. SJU regained the lead heading into the fourth quarter, followed by a 7-0 run with less than four minutes to go to give the Johnnies a nine-point lead and eventual win.

Natiah Nelson added 14 points, five rebounds, three steals, and one block, while Aizhanique Mayo scored 11 points. Georgetown had four players reach double digits – Destiny Agubata (24; career-high), Laila Jewett (17), Khia Miller (11), and Khadee Hession (10). Agubata added five assists and three steals, and Jewett also recorded five assists. The two teams exchanged scoring runs throughout the game, with 13 lead changes. Cristen Carter gave the Hoyas a two-point lead with 1:57 remaining, but Mayo answered with a three-pointer a minute later. The lead was traded three more times until the 0:22 mark when DePaul’s Meg Newman and Mayo scored the final four points to secure the team’s first BIG EAST victory of the season.

BIG EAST to Provide Public Availability Reports for Men's and Women's Basketball
Beginning in the 2025-26 season, the BIG EAST Conference will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes in conference games for the sports of men's and women's basketball. BIG EAST schools will be required to submit availability reports three hours before the scheduled tipoff time. Under the reporting structure, players will be designated as "questionable" or "out." Availability reports will be posted on the BIG EAST website throughout the 2025-26 season.
