NEW YORK – UConn sophomore forward Sarah Strong stuffed the stat sheet to secure her fourth BIG EAST Player of the Week honor of the season, while her freshman teammate Blanca Quiñonez earns BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for a sixth time.

Creighton freshman guard Ava Zediker, DePaul junior guard Kate Novik, Marquette senior guard Olivia Porter, Seton Hall senior guard/forward Jordana Codio and Villanova sophomore guard Jasmine Bascoe were named to this week’s honor roll.

BIG EAST Player of the Week
Sarah Strong, UConn, So., F

Strong averaged 21.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 5.5 steals per game while shooting 72.0% in two wins. She had 24 points (11-for-15 FG), five assists and six steals in the 88-43 victory versus St. John’s. She ended the week with her fifth double-double of the season with 18 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and five steals in the 95-54 victory at Creighton.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Blanca Quiñonez, UConn, Fr., F

Quiñonez averaged 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a 2-0 week for UConn. She scored 12 points on 7-for-12 shooting with three rebounds and four steals vs. St. John's. She then had 15 points on 7-for-11 shooting and four rebounds at Creighton.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Ava Zediker, Creighton, Fr., G

Zediker finished with a game-high 23 points against UConn, 21 of which came in the second half, to go with two assists and a career-high three steals. She went 9-for-17 (.529) from the field.

Kate Novik, DePaul, Jr., G
Novik led the Blue Demons with 19 points, 13 of which came in the first half, on an efficient 60% shooting from the field in the 80-77 win at Georgetown. She also had 10 assists for the program’s first points-assists double-double since 2022. Novik’s 19-point outing was the junior’s 12th double-digit scoring performance of the season.

Olivia Porter, Marquette, Sr., G
Porter led all players with a career-high 23 points on 50% shooting from both the field and from deep in the team’s 67-49 win versus Creighton. She recorded season-highs in field goals made (7), field goal attempts (14), 3-point field goals made (5), 3-point field goals attempts (10), free throws made (4), and free throws attempts (4) in Marquette’s third straight win of 2026.

Jordana Codio, Seton Hall, Sr., G/F
Codio scored a game-high 17 points to spearhead a 10-point, come-from-behind 58-48 victory at Providence. She added a career-high four steals and three rebounds in the win. 

Jasmine Bascoe, Villanova, So., G
Bascoe averaged 17.0 points and 7.0 assists in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats. She opened the week with 15 points and seven assists in a 67-50 win against Xavier. The sophomore guard followed it up with a 19-point, 7 assist performance, as Villanova earned a road win over Providence, 85-55.
