NEW YORK – Following the completion of the 2025 fall season, several BIG EAST Conference teams are positioned well among the national leaders the
2025-26 LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Division I final fall standings, it was announced on Thursday.
The BIG EAST is one of six conferences nationally with at least three teams among the top 50 and one of five with at least five teams among the top 100.
Georgetown leads all BIG EAST institutions, ranking 12th overall with 242.50 points. The Hoyas earned points in four fall sports - men's and women's cross country and men's and women's soccer. Villanova is 33rd place with 159.00 points, followed closely behind by UConn in 34th, with 154.00. Along with Xavier (84th, 75.00) and Creighton (91st, 73.00), five BIG EAST schools rank among the top 100 of the final fall results.
The winter Division I LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings will be released in early April.
The LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup is a joint initiative of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today, with points awarded based on NCAA Championship finishes.
