The game featured five lead changes and numerous scoring runs, including Georgetown’s 13-2 first-quarter run, an 11-0 second-quarter run from Xavier, and a 10-0 Georgetown run in the third period.

The Huskies forced 27 turnovers, converting them into 37 points. Mariana Valenzuela paced Seton Hall with 18 points on 8-for-13 shooting, including the Pirates’ first eight points of the game. Savannah Catalon scored 13 points. The Pirates came out hot, scoring the first six points and only trailing by five points with 1:16 left in the first quarter. Seton Hall led UConn for just over four minutes, marking the longest the Huskies have trailed this season in any game.

Beautiful Waheed scored 12 points and pulled down nine rebounds, all on the defensive end. Shaulana Wagner and Sa’Mya Wyatt added 11 and 10 points, respectively. St. John’s outrebounded the Wildcats, 40-23. Villanova finished with three double-digit scorers, including Ryanne Allen (12), Jasmine Bascoe (11) and Brynn McCurry (10). The Wildcats were held to 18% shooting in the first quarter as St. John’s built a 22-5 lead after the first 10 minutes.

BIG EAST to Provide Public Availability Reports for Men's and Women's Basketball
Beginning in the 2025-26 season, the BIG EAST Conference will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes in conference games for the sports of men's and women's basketball. BIG EAST schools will be required to submit availability reports three hours before the scheduled tipoff time. Under the reporting structure, players will be designated as "questionable" or "out." Availability reports will be posted on the BIG EAST website throughout the 2025-26 season.
