Sarah Strong had for 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals for UConn. Azzi Fudd scored 16 points, on the strength of four 3-pointers. Allie Ziebell knocked down four treys for 12 points off the bench, while Jana El Alfy chipped in 10 points. KK Arnold was back in the starting lineup and led the Huskies in steals (5) and assists (5) after missing Wednesday’s game due to injury. Despite their slow shooting start, the Huskies outscored Seton Hall, 48-15, between the second and third quarters, including a 20-0 run in the third. The Pirates’ Jordana Codio scored 12 points, and Savannah Catalon had 11 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, seven rebounds and four steals. Seton Hall committed 20 turnovers in the first 20 minutes of the game.

The Wildcats are on a 10-game winning streak, their longest since the 2003-04 season. Jasmine Bascoe leads the Wildcats, averaging 17.3 points and 4.4 assists per game. The sophomore has recorded five 20-point games this season, including a 30-point performance in November. The team is averaging 19.6 assists per game, ranking 13th in the nation. Villanova is the second-best defensive team in the BIG EAST, allowing 58.8 points per game while opponents shoot just .372 from the field. 

BIG EAST to Provide Public Availability Reports for Men's and Women's Basketball
Beginning in 2025-26, the BIG EAST Conference will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes in conference games in the sports of men's and women's basketball. BIG EAST schools will be required to submit availability reports three hours before the scheduled tipoff time.  Under the reporting structure, players will be designated as "questionable" or "out."  Availability reports will be posted on the BIG EAST website throughout the 2025-26 season. Women's Basketball Availability Reports
