Azzi Fudd helped lead a second-half comeback and finished with 25 points, while Sarah Strong, despite early foul trouble, stuffed the stat sheet with 21 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, five steals and three blocks. Villanova’s Jasmine Bascoe led all scorers with 26 points, to go along with nine rebounds and seven assists, while Denae Carter posted 21 points. For the first time this season, UConn trailed at the half as the Wildcats led 22-19 at the end of the first quarter and 40-37 at the intermission. The Huskies surged out of the locker room and scored the first seven points of the second half before Strong went to the bench with four fouls, after committing back-to-back. The sophomore returned in the fourth quarter and scored nine consecutive points, extending UConn’s lead to 74-55. The win marked the 44th in a row for the Huskies, dating back to Feb. 6, 2025, and the 64th straight win over a conference foe, including regular-season and BIG EAST Tournament contests.

Seton Hall 64 at Xavier 55

Jordana Codio tied her career-high with 22 points on an efficient 10-for-12 shooting from the field for Seton Hall. Mariana Valenzuela had 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for her second-straight double-double. Savannah Catalon added 16 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals, followed by Zahara Bishop with 10 points and nine rebounds. Xavier’s MacKenzie Givens led the team with 19 points and seven rebounds. Mariyah Noel registered 10 points, four rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal. The Musketeers went on a 12-0 run to cut Seton Hall’s lead to three (55-52) with 4:09 left in the game. Seton Hall answered with an 8-3 to close the game and secure the victory.

at Providence 66, DePaul 60

Orlagh Gormley led the Friars with 18 points as the team won its fourth-straight BIG EAST game, for the first time since the 1995-96 season. Gormley added three rebounds, two assists and five steals to her stat line. Teneisia Brown nabbed her third double-double of the season with 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while Sabou Gueye scored 15 points on 50% shooting and pulled down eight boards. DePaul’s Kate Novik scored a season-high 23 points for her third 20-point performance this season. She also added five rebounds and five assists. Devin Hagemann had eight points, a career-high seven rebounds and a season-high seven assists. Natiah Nelson hit double digits for the third straight game with 10 points as she paced the team in rebounds (8). After both teams scored 20 points in the third quarter, Providence had a 50-44 advantage heading into the final frame. The Blue Demons cut their deficit to 52-49 as they held the Friars scoreless for four minutes. Baskets were traded until the 1:19 mark when Novik tied the game at 59-59 with a three-pointer. Gormley made it a four-point game (63-59) with 27 seconds left to play, then went to the foul line with six seconds remaining and went 2-for-2 to seal the win.
 
Creighton 67 at Butler 58
Box Score
Creighton saw six players score at least eight points, led by Grace Boffeli’s 15-point performance. Ava Zediker finished with 13 points and Allison Heathcock scored 11. Boffeli also grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. McKenna Johnson led all players with a career-high 18 points, including nine from deep for Butler. Anna Wypych added 12 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the floor. The Bulldogs forced 13 Creighton turnovers. With a trey from Kennedy Townsend to begin the fourth quarter, the Bluejays had a 13-point advantage (56-43). Creighton held their double-figure lead into the final minute for the victory.
 
Georgetown 62 at St. John’s 60

Georgetown’s Brianna Scott tied a career-high 22 points, to go with a team-high five rebounds, two steals and two blocks, while Destiny Abugata scored 13 points. St. John’s had three players score double figures – Brooke Moore (15), Sa’Mya Wyatt (13) and Beautiful Waheed (10). Wyatt added four rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals, while Moore pulled down four boards and had four steals. St. John’s went on a 7-0 run to open the fourth to take its first lead since the first quarter. The Johnnies increased their lead to 57-52 with three minutes left, with help from Wyatt and Waheed. Georgetown’s Scott tied the game (60-60) with 1:21 left. Scott connected on a pair of free throws and then had the game-winning block for the 62-60 win.
 
BIG EAST to Provide Public Availability Reports for Men's and Women's Basketball
Beginning in the 2025-26 season, the BIG EAST Conference will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes in conference games for men's and women's basketball. BIG EAST schools will be required to submit these reports three hours before the scheduled tipoff. Under this reporting system, players will be designated as "questionable" or "out.” Availability reports will be posted on the BIG EAST website throughout the 2025-26 season. Women's Basketball Availability Reports
