BIG EAST WBB Minute: Butler Defeats Georgetown; Four Games Sunday

Butler had four players score double figures, led by Anna Wypych with 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting. Kennedy Langham added 11 points, while Lily Zeinstra and Caroline Dotsey each scored 10 points. Saniyah Jackson grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. Georgetown’s Brianna Scott recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. Destiny Agubata chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds. Butler had a five-point lead early in the final frame (49-44). The Bulldogs extended their advantage to seven points (60-53) with just over two minutes remaining. Georgetown cut Butler’s lead to four with 90 seconds left on a layup from Khia Miller, but Butler held on for the win.
 
BIG EAST to Provide Public Availability Reports for Men's and Women's Basketball
Beginning in the 2025-26 season, the BIG EAST Conference will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes in conference games for men's and women's basketball. BIG EAST schools will be required to submit these reports three hours before the scheduled tipoff. Under this reporting system, players will be designated as "questionable" or "out.” Availability reports will be posted on the BIG EAST website throughout the 2025-26 season. Women's Basketball Availability Reports
