Butler’s Caroline Dotsey scored 13 points, followed by Saniya Jackson and Mallory Miller with nine points each. Jackson led all players with 12 rebounds. Butler was only down by five at the 4:48 mark in the first quarter, but UConn went on a 12-0 run in the second quarter to take a 44-19 lead into halftime.

Daniela Abies grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. Mariana Valenzuela scored a team-high 17 points for the Pirates, aided by 4-for-8 shooting from deep. Savannah Catalon added 13 points, three assists, and three steals, while Ari Woodward scored a career-high 11 points, with nine coming in the fourth quarter. Ja’Kahla Craft contributed eight points, eight rebounds, and four steals in her first collegiate start. The Hall forced 13 SJU turnovers. St. John’s led 49-42 entering the fourth. Seton Hall’s Craft made it a five-point game (55-50) with five minutes remaining, but the Johnnies responded with a quick three-pointer to push the lead back to eight. The Pirates cut their deficit again to five points in the last minute. Jailah Donald sealed the win with a free throw with 26 seconds remaining.

BIG EAST to Provide Public Availability Reports for Men's and Women's Basketball
Beginning in the 2025-26 season, the BIG EAST Conference will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes in conference games for men's and women's basketball. BIG EAST schools will be required to submit these reports three hours before the scheduled tipoff. Under this reporting system, players will be designated as "questionable" or "out.” Availability reports will be posted on the BIG EAST website throughout the 2025-26 season.
