BIG EAST Player of the Week
Makena Alexander, Jr., INF, Butler
Alexander led Butler in a BIG EAST series sweep of Villanova, hitting .667 with two doubles, three home runs, and 10 RBI. She hit two home runs in game two (W, 12-5), contributing four RBI, three runs, and two runs scored. In game three, the junior’s three-run homer in the 10th inning provided the winning margin [W, 12-9 (10)]. On the week, Alexander boasted a 1.583 slugging percentage.

BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week
Ana Serafinko, Sr., P, St. John’s
Serafinko posted a 2-1 record and one save while throwing 21.2 innings, including three complete games, striking out 31 batters in the process. The senior posted a 2.26 ERA while holding opponents to a .205 batting average. In Saturday’s complete-game victory over Army (W, 7-1), Serafinko threw her 590th career strikeout, amid a 15-strikeout effort, to set the St. John’s program record for career strikeouts.

A dual threat, Serafinko also appeared in five games at the plate, going 7-for-17 (.412) with two doubles and five RBI. She totaled nine bases for a .529 slugging percentage and posted a .444 on-base percentage.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Kayla Preiss, Fr., INF, Butler
Preiss went 5-for-14 (.357) with two doubles, five RBI, and five run scored in a trio of conference wins over Villanova. The freshman infielder logged at least one run and one RBI in each game of the series. In a closely contested 12-9 (10) victory on Sunday, Preiss contributed three crucial runs and one RBI.

Honor Roll
Katie Petran, Jr., P, Butler
Petran posted a 2-0 record and 1.40 ERA, striking out seven in 10 innings of work. She pitched a complete-game victory over Villanova (W, 6-2) on Friday, striking out five.

Lily West, Sr., C, Creighton
West paced the Bluejays with a 7-of-15 result in the batter’s box including a double, home run, four runs scored, and a team-high 10 RBI as Creighton went 3-2 against Kansas City and Providence.
Sofia Peterson, Sr., INF, Providence
Peterson hit .643 with two home runs and eight RBI, slugging 1.214, as the Friars enjoyed a 4-1 week with two wins a piece against Stonehill and Creighton.
Karissa Dupuis, Jr., P, Seton Hall
Dupuis owned a 3-0 record, striking out 11 and posting a 2.84 ERA in 17.2 innings of work. She was credited with the win in both victories over UConn, helping the Pirates to their first series win over the Huskies since 2013.  
Lea Kosinski, Gr., C/INF/DP, Seton Hall

Kosinski hit .583 with a home run, two runs scored, and four RBI. She started all five games this week, logging a hit in every game to achieve a six-game hitting streak, as the Pirates posted a 4-1 record with victories over Wagner and UConn.
