BIG EAST Player of the Week
Makena Alexander, Jr., INF, Butler
Alexander went 7-for-13 with four runs scored and six RBI, contributing a double and home run, as Butler went 3-1 this week. She registered at least one hit and one RBI in every outing of the BIG EAST series versus DePaul. In Sunday’s finale, the junior went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored, including a solo home run in the third inning.
BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week
Ana Serafinko, Sr., P, St. John’s
Serafinko owned a 3-0 record and 1.94 ERA this week, striking out 26 batters in 18 innings of work. She threw a pair of complete games, striking out eight, in a 10-5 victory over Seton Hall on Sunday. In a midweek complete effort versus Iona (W, 6-1), the senior struck out 13 for the win.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Emma Willers, Fr., UT, UConn
Willers hit .364 with a home run, three runs scored, and three RBI as UConn took a 2-1 series from Creighton to clinch a spot in the 2026 BIG EAST Softball Championship. The rookie went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the tightly contested series-opener (W, 12-11). She added a run in the weekend’s finale (W, 4-2).
Honor Roll
Maren Berger, So., P, Butler
Berger owned a 1.26 ERA and 3-0 record with seven strikeouts over 16.2 innings of work. The sophomore tossed two complete games in victories over DePaul, registering a shutout in the series finale (W, 6-0).
Cat Petteys, So., SS, UConn
Petteys hit .625 with three doubles, two home runs, seven RBI and seven runs scored in a 3-1 week for the Huskies. She particularly excelled in Wednesday’s 11-3 win over Hofstra, contributing three RBI and three runs scored behind a two home run effort.
Cameron Dunn, Jr., INF/C, Providence
Dunn hit .444 with four runs scored and five RBI as Providence swept Villanova to clinch a spot in the 2026 BIG EAST Softball Championship. The junior contributed at least one run in every victory this weekend.
Alyssa Twomey, Jr., P, Providence
Twomey secured a 2-0 record with a 2.03 ERA in a pair of victories over Villanova. She struck out 11 in 10.1 innings.
Natasha Limbani, Jr., SS, St. John’s
Limbani batted .706 with four runs, four RBI, and a double. She produced two runs and two RBI in Friday’s 7-5 series-opening victory over Seton Hall. In Wednesday’s 6-1 victory over Iona, Limbani went 4-for-4 with one RBI.
