Schedule and Seeding Set for 2026 BIG EAST Softball Championship Presented by JEEP

NEW YORK – After capturing a share of the regular season title for the first time in program history, Providence earned the top seed in the 2026 BIG EAST Softball Championship Presented by JEEP, scheduled for May 7-9 at the Parkway Bank Softball Complex in Rosemont, Ill.

Seeding was determined based on team winning percentage throughout the BIG EAST regular season. The Friars took the tournament’s top spot with a 18-6 (.750) mark against league competitors.

The Co-BIG EAST Regular Season Champions, UConn, earned the two seed with an 18-6 (.750) regular season result. Seeding between the two regular season champions was determined through tiebreaking procedures.

Creighton captured the three-seed, finishing 17-7 (.708) in the regular season.

Butler rounded out the field in fourth (15-9, .625).

The double-elimination Championship kicks off on Thursday, May 7 beginning with a  12 p.m. CT meeting between #1 Providence and #4 Butler. The complete Championship schedule can be found below.
