BIG EAST Player of the Week
Haley Coupal, Sr., UT, UConn
Coupal hit .500, contributing nine RBI and three runs scored behind a double and grand slam as the Huskies swept Georgetown to claim a share of the BIG EAST regular season title. In Friday’s 14-6 victory, she drove in a career-high six RBI highlighted by her first home run of the season, a grand slam. In Sunday’s 15-1 (5) win, the senior tallied three hits and drove in three RBI.
BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week
Ana Serafinko, Sr., P, St. John’s
Serafino struck out 24 batters over 13.1 innings of work, posting a 2.63 ERA across three appearances including a pair of starts. In Friday’s setback to Villanova (L, 2-7), she threw 5.1 innings and struck out 11. On Sunday (L, 0-1), she tossed six innings of one-run ball with nine strikeouts. During the midweek matchup against Wagner (W, 7-3), she earned the save with two scoreless innings and four strikeouts.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Audrey Gilman, Fr., P, Creighton
Gilman posted a 1-0 record across four appearances, owning a team-best 2.05 ERA with eight strikeouts in 13.2 innings of work. She threw a complete game in Friday’s 2-1 victory over DePaul, striking out six.
Honor Roll
Hailey Conger, Sr., OF, Butler
Conger hit a massive .714 with three RBI and two runs scored as Butler took the weekend series from Providence.
Alyx Johnson, Fr., P, Butler
Johnson owned a 0.95 ERA and posted a 1-0 record, striking out 3 over 7.1 innings of work. In game one versus Providence (W, 4-3), the freshman allowed just one hit and denied any runs in relief.
Sydnee Koosh, RS-Jr., P., UConn
Koosh boasted a 0.00 ERA over 6.00 innings of work, striking out two in Saturday’s 4-0 victory over Georgetown.
Kaelan Schultz, Jr., DP, Creighton
Schultz led the Bluejays with a .462 batting average, contributing three doubles, a home run, and two runs scored. She registered an extra-base hit in all three games of Creighton’s series win over DePaul.
Cassidy Stouffer, Sr., 2B, St. John’s
Stouffer went 5-for-9 with a double and three RBI, recording at least one hit in three of four games.
