BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards Announced (8.17.26)

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Megan Murray, Marquette, Jr., F
Murray led Marquette to a 2-0 week against St. Thomas (Minn.) and North Dakota State with three goals. She recorded her first career multi-goal game in the 2-0 win at NDSU, scoring two goals. She also netted one goal in the 4-0 win at St. Thomas. 

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Stephanie Schoeley, Providence, Jr., D
Schoeley was part of a back line that allowed only one goal over two games, including a complete shutout against Rhode Island (3-0). Earlier in the week, she helped hold an UMass Lowell offense to just one shot on goal as the game ended in a 1-1 tie at regulation. 

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Mia Hurd, Marquette, Fr., GK
Hurd made her collegiate debut and helped Marquette open the season with back-to-back shutouts. She recorded two saves across the opening week, including a pair of stops at NDSU, while providing a steady presence in goal as the Golden Eagles earned wins in both matches.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Jocy Koffi, Providence, Fr., F

In two games, Koffi totaled four points on two goals during Providence's opening weekend. The freshman scored the team's lone goal in the 1-1 tie versus UMass Lowell. In the 3-0 win over Rhode Island, Koffi scored the Friars' first goal in the tenth minute. With her performance, she became the first freshman for Providence in over two decades to score a goal in each of their first two games.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Abby Droner, Georgetown, So., F
Droner recorded two goals and one assist in the 4-1 win over Fordham. The sophomore's first goal of the game came in the 58th minute to give the Hoyas a 3-0 lead. Droner continued her standout performance, scoring her second goal of the match off a feed from Caroline Spengler to push Georgetown's advantage to 4-0. She added an assist to her stat line on Lizzie Heller's goal at the 53:56 mark.

Reiley Fitzpatrick, Georgetown, Gr., GK
Fitzpatrick allowed just one goal in the team's 4-1 victory against Fordham.

Gianna Angelillo, Seton Hall, Sr., M
Angelillo posted a goal and an assist in Seton Hall's 2-1 season-opening win over FDU on Sunday night. Angelillo linked up with Kileigh Gorman for an early tally in the sixth minute before burying the game-winning penalty kick in the 65th minute.

Ines Nourani, UConn, So., D
In the 2-2 tie at Stony Brook, Nourani scored her first collegiate goal at the 82:11 mark. She also had an assist on Anya Montano's goal in the 48th minute.

Hannah Dickinson, Villanova, Gr., GK
Dickinson anchored the defense to back-to-back clean sheets against Syracuse (0-0) and Lehigh (9-0). 

Kieran Bradley, Xavier, Fr., F
Bradley scored a pair of goals in Xavier's 3-0 win over Miami (Ohio). Her first-half goal marked her first collegiate tally.
