BIG EAST Conference Assistantships
The BIG EAST Conference has three annual assistantship opportunities. The positions are paid, part-time, temporary 10-month appointments - August through May. These opportunities will offer valuable, tangible experience in the collegiate athletics environment for emerging professionals. We are no longer accepting applicants for the 2023-24 BIG EAST Conference Assistantship program. The application process for our 2024-25 program will open in the spring and further information on how to apply will be posted to our website at that time.
Championships Assistant – Closed
This position will primarily support operations of select Championships at the BIG EAST Conference. Position directly reports to the Executive Associate Commissioner, Sport Administration and Championships. The application window is now closed.
Basketball Operations Assistant – Closed
The position will primarily support functions and operations of Men's and Women's Basketball at the BIG EAST Conference. Position directly reports to the Executive Associate Commissioner for Men's Basketball and Senior Associate Commissioner for Women's Basketball. The application window is now closed.
Communications Assistant – Closed
This position serves in a support capacity to the Sports Media Relations Department. The position reports to the Senior Associate Commissioner for Sports Media Relations and Associate Commissioner of Media Relations and Digital Network Services. The application window is now closed.

The BIG EAST Conference seeks outstanding applicants for the position of
Senior Associate Commissioner, Media Relations and Strategic Communications. Based in New York City, this position is primarily responsible for planning and implementing the Conference's media and communications activities relating to the conference's 22 sports, with a particular emphasis on Men's Basketball, as well as leading the strategic communications efforts of the conference. This is a hybrid position with the expectation of being in the New York City office a minimum of 2-3 days per week. Travel to competitions, meetings, and industry events is also required.

Coordinator of Baseball Umpires - CLOSED
BIG EAST Conference, Inc., has initiated a Request for Proposals (RFP) from parties interested in becoming the Conference's next Coordinator of Baseball Umpires.
