Sa’Mya Wyatt also scored 12 points to go with a team-high eight rebounds. As a team, St. John’s shot .591 (26-44) from the field. The Johnnies’ defense was suffocating as they held Oklahoma State without a field goal for the final 9:37 of the second quarter. OSU came into the game averaging 105.6 points, but SJU proved why it is ranked in the top five in the BIG EAST in scoring defense, limiting the Cowgirls to just 67 points. The win marked the team’s highest-ranked victory since 2023. The last ranked non-conference victory was in 2015 when they beat South Florida.

Lee Volker recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, to go with a pair of blocks and steals. Jaidynn Mason led the Golden Eagles in assists (6) and steals (4). Marquette held Milwaukee to 29.8% shooting. With the victory, head coach Cara Consuegra reached 250 career wins.

Top 10 Matchup on Deck 
#1 UConn and #6 Michigan will meet for the first time on the hardwood on Friday, November 21, as part of the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase at Mohegan Sun. The game will be aired on FOX with an 8 p.m. tip time. The Huskies are 135-56 all-time in games where both teams are ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll.
