BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Jill Pressly, DePaul, Sr., OH
Pressly led DePaul to a 2-0 weekend on the road, amassing 47 kills in conference victories over Providence (W, 3-0) and UConn (W, 3-2). Her 5.88 kills and 6.38 points per set led the BIG EAST this week, further bolstering a senior campaign that sees the outside hitter leading all conference competitors in both categories (4.50 kills/set, 4.90 points/set).
Pressly registered double-doubles in both matches, doing so with 21 kills and 10 digs against Providence before exploding for a season-best 26 kills and 20 digs at UConn. The Plano, Texas product also contributed three assists.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Kiana Schmitt, Creighton, Sr., MB
Schmitt backed Creighton to a pair of BIG EAST sweeps, leading the league in blocks (1.67/set) as the Bluejays refused to relinquish a set. The middle blocker proved to be an all around threat this weekend, also leading Creighton with 3.50 kills per set on .528 hitting and 26.5 total points.
In Friday’s 3-0 victory over St. John’s, Schmitt put up a match-best six blocks while holding the Red Storm below .000 hitting in two sets. Her four blocks in Sunday’s match against Seton Hall (W, 3-0) were also a match best.
This week, Schmitt was the lone athlete to sit among the top ten conference competitors in four separate categories, leading the league in both blocks (1.67/set) and hitting (.528) while ranking sixth in points (4.42/set) and eighth in kills (3.50/set).

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Abby Harrell, Villanova, Fr., OH
Harrell led Villanova with 21 kills as the Wildcats went 1-1 over the second week of BIG EAST play. The outside hitter added 14 digs, two blocks, and a service ace across six sets. Her 3.50 kills and 3.83 points per set ranked eighth and tenth, respectively, in the league this week.
Harrel contributed a team-best ten kills in Friday’s 3-0 upset of Xavier. She followed this performance with 11 kills against Butler (L, 0-3).
 
HONOR ROLL
Abby Maesch, Butler, Jr., OH/OPP
Maesch registered 30 kills (4.29/set), contributing 35 points (5.00/set) to Butler’s 1-1 weekend. The junior added 14 digs (2.00/set) and three service aces as the Bulldogs fell to Georgetown (L, 1-3) before overcoming Villanova (W, 3-0).
Rachel Krasowski, DePaul, Sr., L
Krasowski led the BIG EAST with 59 digs this week (7.38), backing DePaul to a pair of conference victories on the road.
Mary Grace Goyena, Georgetown, Jr., OH
Goyena produced 35 kills (3.89/set) on .272 hitting with 17 digs (1.89/set), four blocks, and a pair of service aces this weekend. The Hoyas defeated Butler on Friday (W, 3-1) before falling to Xavier, Saturday (L, 2-3).
Aubrey Hamilton, Marquette, Sr., OH
Hamilton led the Golden Eagles to a 2-0 week with 29 kills (4.14set), 12 digs (1.72/set), five blocks and two service aces. Her 13 and 16 kills against UConn (W, 3-1) and Providence (W, 3-0), respectively, were both match bests.
Carrigan O’Reilly, Xavier, Gr., S/RS
O’Reilly combined for 55 assists, 22 digs, and 14 kills on .433 hitting as Xavier went 1-1 this week. The graduate setter produced a double-double at Villanova (L, 0-3) with 20 assists and 11 digs before exploding for a triple-double against Georgetown (W, 3-2) with 10 kills, 35 assists, and 11 digs.
