2023 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships Presented by JEEP Start Thursday

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The 2023 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place from May 11-13 on the campus of Villanova University. The BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports will cover the running events live starting 2 p.m. ET on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday. Pat O'Keefe and Johnny Soper will be on the call. Field and multi-events will be taped, with highlights inserted into the two-day broadcast. For the full schedule of events, click HERE.

The Connecticut men and women are the reigning outdoor BIG EAST champions, with the Huskies sweeping this season's indoor championship, as well. The Husky men have six outdoor titles to their credit, while the Husky women have three team meet victories.

The BIG EAST Championships feature 22 scored events. For both men's and women's, 19 event winners from the 2022 conference meet are back to compete in the 2023 BIG EAST Championships.

Action begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday with the first events of the heptathlon and decathlon. Field events start at 3 p.m. along with the final events of the day starting at 7:30 p.m. on the track. Multi-events continue on Friday morning starting at 9:30 a.m., field events start at 11 a.m. and running events start at 2 p.m. On Saturday, the final day of events kicks off at 11:30 a.m. and concludes with the awards ceremony at 4:05 p.m.

On the Tuesday following the championship, the all-conference team will be announced. The all-conference team includes all top three finishers in the meet.
